Craft never felt so good

Nuno felting is a Japanese fabric felting technique. It melds loose fiber, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze. This creates a lightweight felt that can totally cover the background fabric or be used as a single decorative design. 
  
During this fabulous felting day, we will make a beautiful scarf using soft merino wool fibers and incorporating silk fibers to lift it. 
  
By manipulating a thin layer of wool through a fine  woven material, we will make a scarf with characteristics which are quite different from a traditional felt which is much thicker. 
  
There are many possibilities for transparency, and exciting texture with drape and flexibility with diverse movement in the material. this lends itself well to beautiful movement required in a scarf.
