Have it all with a creative mix course.

We know our taster courses look great and are popular which is why we’ve developed a week course full of them.  This is a great format for anyone wishing to trial different art and craft activities or someone who simply wants it all. Activities include painting, drawing, ceramics, wheel thrown pottery, mosaic, print making and sculpture.

Our art and craft taster week allows you to sample a range of art and craft tasters in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This week is suitable for beginners or improvers. Don’t worry if you’ve already taken some of these tasters as individual sessions or if you already have expertise in one area – you’ll be coached at your current level or given the freedom to self direct. Therefore even if you return year after year it will still be the same old fun atmosphere but you’ll also get to advance your skills. We also vary the content of our creative mix courses each time.

2021 itinerary

DAY 1
am – drawing from still life
pm – handbuid ceramics (make a bowl, mug or jug with directional support). Pieces will be decorated using coloured slips and fired ready for collection a couple of weeks after the course.

DAY 2
am – acrylic painting
pm – mosaic introduction

DAY 3
am – wire sculpture
pm -wheel thrown pottery introduction

DAY 4
am – felting
pm – painting

DAY 5
am – lino cut printing

pm – clay modelling from life/painting from life
